Period 1- Y6 English Peace Rm1114-

5min private reading time at start of lesson

Put class into 8 groups.

Give each group a set of story vocab cards (there are vocab words and definitions).

Group must match up the words with the definitions as quick as they can.

Once all groups have finished, go over the answers (these will be left on the teachers desk with the group card sets.

Once all groups have the cards in the right order, get them to write the long date and the title ‘Story Vocabulary’ in their exercise books and draw a table. They will then need to (neatly) copy out each word with corresponding definition individually.

Please ask a student to put the group card sets back in the envelopes and take these with the answer sheet and leave it on the teachers desk in rm1111 for Mondays lesson.

Monday 6th October-

Period 2- Y6 English Joy Rm1111-

5min private reading time at start of lesson

Put class into 8 groups.

(If cards are not in room1111 please send a student to look for them in rm1114)

Group must match up the words with the definitions as quick as they can.

Period 4- Y6 English Care Rm1111-

5min private reading at the start of the lesson.

Call out Ayman and Charlotte to put this lessons intended learning and success criteria on the board.

Ask Lorraine to collect the topic bag and the name bag from the side of the room and organise these.

Then Ayman and Charlotte should take the bags back and lead the lesson.

It is important that they stick to the format of two stars and a wish and that these relate to the success criteria- just remind the students of this and they should be able to manage themselves through the lesson.

Please intervene if they struggle to be quiet for Ayman and Charlotte. This is the first time they have led a lesson but they are very keen to do it well.

At the end of the lesson, Lorraine needs to take the two bags through to rm1114 and leave them on the teachers desk.

Period 6 & 7- Y6 English Peace Rm1114-

5min private reading at the start of the lesson.

Call out Sean and Moon to put this lessons intended learning and success criteria on the board.

Ask Nicki and Kirsten to collect the topic bag and the name bag from the side of the room and organise these.

Then Sean and Moon should take the bags back and lead the lesson.

It is important that they stick to the format of two stars and a wish and that these relate to the success criteria- just remind the students of this and they should be able to manage themselves through the lesson.

Please intervene if they struggle to be quiet for Sean and Moon. This is the first time they have led a lesson but they are very keen to do it well.

If this seems to be dragging on to long, feel free to ask the children to return to private reading during the second half of the double but if things are going well, let them keep going.
